KERERU GORGE CULVERT
Flood damage from Cyclone Gabrielle in February 2023 resulted in the loss of approximately 50 metres of Kererū Road and the loss of the culvert drainage. Due to its complexity, the time and cost to implement an interim solution would be similar to that required for a permanent solution. The culvert which previously provided drainage needs to be replaced with a much larger permanent structure.
